AN ARTIST in Oxford has turned rags into riches with her exhibition of objects which would have otherwise been thrown away.
Anne Hardy’s exhibition at Modern Art Oxford, called Field, revolves around ‘lost’ objects.
The gallery said a popular part of the exhibition was photograms – pictures produced with photographic materials, such as light-sensitive paper, but without a camera.
It said: “Hardy created these using the dust and debris swept from her studio floor at the end of each working day, making images directly on photographic papers.
“This continues her interest in using found and lost materials from which to begin a process to construct a work.”
Ms Hardy said her work was largely influenced by literary representations of space.
Field is on display at the Pembroke Street gallery until Sunday, January 10.
