Fire crews have removed a car driver who became trapped in his vehicle after a three-car crash on the A34 near Wendlebury.

Long queues of traffic are building on the northbound route after the accident just before junction 9 of the M40.

Fire and Rescue Service said fire crews were removing the roof of one of the cars to free the driver.

Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Connie Primmer said a woman was reported to have been injured, but did not confirm if it was the driver removed from their car.

Stagecoach Oxfordshire said all S5 services from Oxford to Bicester are diverted from Weston on the Green, including Northampton Road, Oxford Road and Middleton Stoney Road.

Services will then resume their normal route at the A41 Vendee Drive junction, while Bicester Village will be served as normal.

All lanes have now been reopened following the accident.
