Residents of Oxford's five tower blocks are invited to a launch event at Blackbird Leys Community Centre today ahead of repair works.
From 3pm to 6pm representatives from Oxford City Council and contractors Willmott Dixon will be on hand to answer questions about the project.
Work on Evenlode Tower is due to start in April ahead of the project being rolled out to Windrush, Plowman, Foresters and Hockmore towers.
Over the next two years the £20m project will see improvements made to the communal structure of the blocks, including over-cladding, insulation, replacement of windows, new heating, upgrading of electrics and fire systems, and repairs to lifts.
Rob Lambe, managing director at Willmott Dixon, said: “We are pleased that this project is now ready for launch, our work to install energy efficiency improvements at the tower blocks will help residents reduce their fuel bills and live in warmer, healthier homes.
"We would welcome residents to attend the event to find out more about the proposed repairs to their homes. ”
