The weekend is here - and with it our list of the nine best shows and gigs in Oxford this week...

So whether it's a musical, drama or a sweaty gig you feel like, get out there and enjoy yourself...

3. AUSTEN-TATIOUS FUN

Oxford Theatre Guild perfectly captures the spirit of this memorable and heart-warming story charting the two very different Dashwood sisters, left almost penniless in a society where wealth and status are everything.

When change is thrust upon them, both sisters plough head first into the path of love, but will energetic Marianne and her level-headed sister Elinor find the passion and affection they seek?

4. SING ALONG TO A MUSICAL

Britain’s Got Talent’s Lucy Kay will play the narrator in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s famous musical starring X Factor winner Joe McElderry.

This vibrant and exciting retelling of the biblical story about Joseph, his 11 brothers and the coat of many colours will please young and old alike with a score of wall to wall hits, including Jacob and Sons, Close Every Door and Any Dream Will Do.
