LOOKING out at their backdrop for Nocturne Live in June, The Corrs said they were left "breathless" by the stunning grounds and palace at Blenheim.

As part of their highly anticipated come back, the Irish band of siblings will be taking to the stage at Winston Churchill's birthplace for the four-day music event.

Jim Corr, the eldest out of the quartet, said: "We have had a 10 year break, I think we have come back even stronger as a band and to come back and perform at such a spectacular place like Blenheim Palace is really exciting."

Andrea Corr, lead vocalist for the group, said they were really looking forward to the performance on Friday, June 24, as they had never played at the venue before.

She said: "It is somewhere new for us and it is such a beautiful place to perform.

"We're planning to do a mix of some of our old songs, which will go into an acoustic set with harmonies and then we will be playing some of the tracks from our new album."

The band, which sees all four siblings, Sharon, Caroline, Andrea and Jim sing and play all the instruments, announced their come back in November last year and have since released a new album, "White Light" and embarked on a world tour.

Earlier this year it was revealed that Elton John would be headlining the event on Sunday, June 26.

Artists for Thursday, June 23 and Saturday, June 25 have yet to be announced.
