A BAKERY in West Oxfordshire has been awarded a certificate of excellence for its Witney tea room, after customers praised staff for providing first-class service.

Family business Huffkins, which has its head office in Burford, has been presented with the TripAdvisor accolade which celebrates hospitality businesses that have earned fantastic reviews for a high quality customer experience.

Joshua Taee, Huffkins managing director said: "This is a great achievement and well-deserved. Our Witney team consistently delights guests with a friendly, positive attitude towards customer service."

Huffkins bakery and tea rooms has been operating locally since 1890 and has tea rooms locally in Witney and Burford, as well as elsewhere in the Cotswolds.

The company supplies baked goods to the royal palaces, Fortnum & Mason and Marks and Spencer.

Nina Forty, Huffkins Witney manager, said she was delighted by the result.

The TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is an internationally recognised award, which ensures customers know they can enjoy a quality experience. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five, over the course of at least a year.
