A 34-YEAR-OLD man from Oxford has admitted possessing a shotgun when he was banned from doing so.
Christopher Smith appeared via video link from Woodhill Prison at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, when he admitted possessing the firearm on April 28 last year.
The court heard he was banned from possessing the shotgun under an order which prevented him having any firearm within five years of his release from prison.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Smith, of Aldebarton Drive, Headington, was remanded in custody and ordered to appear before the same court for sentence on Thursday, July 21.
