TIME for a cup of coffee?
Apparently we drink 55 million cups of the stuff every day in the UK. And perhaps a few more today – as we mark International Coffee Day.
But for Harriett McAtee, pictured, a barista at The Missing Bean in Turl Street, Oxford, every day is coffee day.
She said: “We’re really passionate about coffee, and always aim to do it well.
“We love bringing coffee to the people of Oxford,” she added.
And their secret to the perfect cup of coffee?
It’s supposedly all down to the quality of the bean, where it’s sourced, and the technique of the barista.
Where do you get your best cup of coffee in the city?
Email news@oxfordmail.co.uk or tweet @TheOxfordMail with your favourite haunts.
Nominations for the best cup of joe thus far have been Quarter Horse Coffee on Cowley Road, Fernando's Cafe on Cornmarket Street, and Coco Noir on London Road.
And why not send us pictures of your smiling barista with your freshly made cup this morning?!
