26-year-old man from Oxford arrested in connection with attempted Caversham robbery
A 26-year-old man from Oxford was arrested today in connection with an attempted robbery in Caversham, Reading.
A newsagents in Woodcote Way, Reading was targeted on Thursday.
At about 7.30pm a man entered the newsagents demanding money, whilst holding what appeared to be a firearm.
The man was challenged by a member of staff and left without taking anything.
There were no injuries.
The man is currently in police custody.
