Richard Butler, 40, of no fixed abode, admitted possessing heroin, a class A drug, in Banbury, on January 5. Also admitted committing an offence while subject to a conditional discharge order. Fined £120 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge.

Paul Wyeth, 36, of Shackleton Close, Bicester, admitted committing fraud by presenting a stolen Barclays debit card at various contactless payment points in shops, intending to gain food and cigarettes worth £111.98, on August 14 last year. Also admitted stealing a Barclays debit card belonging to Cassandra Leanne Wilton from Buckingham Road, Bicester, on the same date. Also admitted stealing razors worth £127 from Wilko, in Bicester, on October 2 last year and January 13. Also admitted stealing clothing and perfume worth £103.98 from TK Maxx, in Banbury, in November 23 last year. Also admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order and to surrender to custody at Banbury Magistrates’ Court. Handed a 16-week sentence, suspended for 12 months. Ordered to pay £342.96 compensation and a £115 victim surcharge.

Kerry Lofthouse, 24, of O’Hanlon House, Luther Street, Oxford, admitted committing fraud by stealing a bank card, intending to cause loss to Mary Maschio or to expose that person to a risk of loss in Tesco Metro, Magdalen Street, Oxford, on November 14 last year. Also admitted committing fraud by using a stolen bank card at the store and at Wendy News, in Broad Street, Oxford, on the same date. Handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £40 costs.

Kyle Pratley, 23, of East Street, Fritwell, Bicester, admitted drink-driving in East Street, Fritwell, Bicester, on November 1 last year. Had 77mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeding the limit of 35mcg Also admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug, and driving without third party insurance on the same date. Fined £600 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Handed an 18-month driving ban.

Arthur Robinson, 52, of Axis Development, Former Cattle Market, Banbury, admitted drink-driving on the M40 on December 31 last year. Had 98mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeding the limit of 35mcg. Also admitted possessing cannabisin Banbury, on the same date. Fined £250 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £40 costs. Handed a 24-month driving ban.

Oxford

Jefter Andrews, 33, of Thames View Road, Abingdon, was convicted of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place on July 9, 2016, in Barnes Close, Didcot, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse. The weapon was a machete. Community order made. Defendant ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work with the next 12 months. Ordered to pay a victim surcharge £85 and costs of £720. Machette forfeited.

Jessamy Hayes, 23, Jordan Hill Road, Oxford, was convicted of assaulting Margaret Fortescue by beating her in Jordan Hill, Oxford on August 3, 2016. Community order made. Defendant must comply with a rehabilitation activity requirement for 25 days. Ordered to pay compensation of £250 and costs of £85.

James Anthony Pollard, 29, Marsh Road, Oxford, admitted damaging a door to the value of £80 belonging to Julian Housing, intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged in Oxford on September 12, 2016. Also admitted assaulting Kevin Frankum, thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm in Oxford on the same date. Also admitted failing without reasonable cause, to surrender to custody at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on December 15, 2016, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on October 25, 2016. Community order made. Defendant must comply with a rehabilitation activity requirement for 30 days. Ordered to pay £330 in compensation.

Aman Kumar Kajoo, 25, of Swinburne Road, Iffley, Oxford, was convicted of being the driver of a vehicle who failed to stop after a road accident. Also found guilty of being driver of a vehicle involved in a road accident and failing to report it. Kajoo was convicted of driving a vehicle on a road or in a public place without due care and attention. All offences relate to to an incident with a bicycle being ridden by Mary Murray in Donnington Bridge Road, Oxford, on December 5, 2015. Fined £180. Ordered to pay compensation of £75, costs of £600 and a victim surcharge of £30. Driving record endorsed with three points.

Fang Chen, 53, of Crotch Crescent, Marston, Oxford, admitted driving a vehicle in Kidlington Road without due care and attention on June 26 2016. Fined £400. Ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £40 and costs of £85. Driving record endorsed with six points.

Peter James Gibbs, 53, of Briary Way, Carterton, admitted pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of Irina Hutson and which he knew, or ought to have known, amounted to the harassment of her between July 1, 2016 and August 1, 2016. Restraining order made for the defendant not to contact Irina Hutson directly or indirectly including via any means and social media. Fined £373. Ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £37 and costs of £150.
