Tesco car park blocked off after roof 'incident'
PART of a Tesco Extra car park in Abingdon was taped off today following an 'incident' that damaged a section of the roof.
Customers were kept from passing under the walkway roof at the site in Marcham Road.
A car is thought to have struck one of the supporting beams holding up the roof. Part of the drainpipe appears to have been broken and roof slates fallen to the ground.
Tesco spokeswoman Jessica Walker said: "Following an incident today we cordoned off part of the car park walk way.
"We are looking to get the roof repaired as quickly as possible."
