HIP-hop artist Sean Paul will headline Oxford's Common People bank holiday festival this year.

The line-up of acts has been revealed for the South Park bonanza which will take place on May 27 and May 28.

As well as Sean Paul performing fresh from ruling the charts with Clean Bandit, Pete Tong presents Ibiza Classics performed by the Heritage Orchestra and conducted by Jules Buckley, will top the bill on Sunday.

There will also be appearances from Rag’n’Bone Man, Groove Armada, Wild Beasts, Foals doing a DJ set, Becky Hill, The Cuban Brothers and lots more.

Nightshift are once again curating the Uncommon Stage and Moxie and My Nu Leng will take charge of the Uncontained stage.

And, of course, there will be lots of off-the-wall fun including the return of the Disco Shed, vintage funfair rides, street food and tempting cocktails.

Common People curator Rob da Bank said: “Common People is all about having some proper moments together as friends and family.

"Held with the help and support of Oxford City Council, Common People 2017 is gonna kick off the festival seasonal with a proper party.

"Our cast this year to make you dance, sing and generally lose your shizzle include none other than recent Number One album artist, Mr Pete Tong, a legend of the dance and Radio 1 for over quarter of a century now, and here with a rare outdoor performance of his orchestral wonder Ibiza Dance Classics.

"Also, stepping up is Sean Paul, a dancehall god with more bangers up his sleeve than a fireworks factory.

"Proving able support will be Rag’N’Bone Man and Groove Armada and loads more, so have a read, explore and see you in the fields my lovely Common People.”
