COWLEY Road is living up to its rock ‘n’ roll reputation.
Staff at the street’s beloved PMT music store are all hands to the deck this week as they cart their entire stock a mile down the road to their new home.
Employees from PMT stores across the country have been drafted in to help shift drums, guitars, pianos and more to the new place at 381 Cowley Road.
Store manager Tim Midlen said: “It’s going really well.
“The new place is still a bit of a building site but when the dust has settled we’ll be able to bring all the stock down then it will really come to life.”
The new shop will be officially opened this Saturday at 9.30am by a slew of local music celebrities including Gaz Coombes of Supergrass, Colin Greenwood of Radiohead and Iain Harvie of Del Amitri.
