ARTISTS across Oxfordshire are looking forward to showing their work at studios and exhibitions next month.
Oxfordshire Artweeks is an artists’ organisation promoting the work of artists in the county and the festival runs from Saturday, May 6 to Monday, May 29.
The first week will focus on exhibitions along the Thames from Faringdon to Henley and the Ridgeway from Wantage to Thame, while the second week will focus on art in North and West Oxfordshire, with shows in towns including Burford, Chipping Norton, Bicester and Banbury.
The third week of the 35th festival will take place in Oxford itself, featuring 200 art spaces across the city.
Festival director Esther Lafferty said art shows would take place in artists’ homes, studios, galleries and gardens.
She added: “It is your chance to enjoy art in a relaxed way, to meet the makers and see their creative talents in action.”
