THIRSTY punters in East Oxford have a treat lined up for the May bank holiday weekend as a Cowley Road watering hole prepares for its first ever beer festival.
Throughout Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30 a special range of eight beers and four ciders will be served at The Cowley Retreat.
Everything on sale is locally brewed and visitors can also look forward to a barbecue, local bands and DJs playing live music from 1pm to 8pm on both days.
General manager Evie Snook said: "It's always been in the back of our heads to do this and hopefully it won't be the last time.
"We were keen to do something different and have the car park space at the back of the venue, which we like to use as much as possible."
