“Lord, what fools these mortals be!” Creation’s wild, free-spirited riot of a Dream is back. If you came last year you’ll remember that the starting location is a secret – for now. Part play, part quest, part treasure hunt and just a little bit Crystal Maze, you’ll be sent details of where to meet in advance, but it’ll be within striking distance of Frideswide Square, near Oxford railway station. Having sold out two weeks in advance last year, spaces are limited to groups of 10 so get it in the diary. A must-see summer show. summer line-up

Robert’s life is full of dead-end jobs, unrequited love and bedroom-rehearsals for his revolutionary punk band. But when he buys Golem, things change. Golem helps him pick out better clothes, further his career and win the girl of his dreams. Suddenly, everyone wants one. Wouldn’t you? After all, don’t you deserve the best? Drawing on ancient Jewish folklore of the Golem, imaginative and highly original company 1927 bring their dark and atmospheric production about a man who fashions a creature out of clay to work for him. This new version of the tale is suitable for audience members aged 12 and over.

POLITICAL COMEDY

Ayesha Hazarika

The Mill in Banbury

May 27

themillartscentre.co.uk

The stand-up comedian and political commentator Ayesha Hazarika is a trailblazing voice for women in politics today, and her hilarious show is especially relevant in this current political climate.

Hazarika previously worked in politics, spending nine years as a senior Labour advisor to Harriet Harman and Ed Miliband, advising them on Prime Minister’s Questions, speeches, media and policy. She now lifts the lid on what life’s really like behind the scenes at Westminster with her own brand of brutal honesty and humour.
