NEIGHBOURHOOD police officers in Abingdon have cracked down on illegal parking in the town by handing out fines.
The team said they had received ‘many complaints’ about illegal parking in Lombard Street, Bath Street and the loading bays in Stert Street.
Officers said: “PCSO Ali Blood and PCSO Susie Morley who police this area, monitor the parking situation every shift and issue £30 fixed penalty notices when necessary.
“During one hour of patrolling they issued 10 fixed penalty notices alone. Please ensure you park legally, considerately and safely.”
