EYNSHAM 2nd lifted the OCA League’s Osberton Radiators Cup with a five-wicket victory over Kilkenny 2nd in Sunday’s final at Westcott.

Andy Bain took 4-36 and Roland Margerison 4-42 as Kilkenny were all out for 173.

Eynsham eased to 175-5, with man-of-the-match Stephen Cooper striking 68 not out and Margerison 30 not out.

Chipping Norton were beaten in the semi-finals of the Airey Cup as they fell to a 22-run defeat at home to Wolvercote.

Mark Child hit 78 and James van Santen 50 in Wolvercote’s 231-7.

Chippy’s Dave Brassett made 61 and Richard Ferley 59 in their reply, but they fell to 209 all out.

Charlbury’s march towards the Division 1 title continued as they eased to a 131-run victory at Oxenford on Saturday.

Fine knocks by Graham Atkins (74) and Stuart Atkins (67) saw Charlbury to 222-9 in a match reduced to 42 overs per side.

But the stand-out performance of the day came from Ian Johnston, who took a hat-trick in figures of 5-15 as Oxenford crashed to 91.

Stonesfield ended East & West Hendred’s title hopes with a 36-run victory.

Shoaib Ahmed struck 72 to help Stonesfield to 205-6.

Ian Clewley hit 57 in Hendred’s reply, but they managed only 169-9.

Witney Swifts remain top of Division 2 after brushing aside aside visitors Eynsham by six wickets.

Andy Purdie took 5-11 as Eynsham were shot out for 75.

Chipping Norton beat visitors Broughton & North Newington by seven wickets on the target score (TS) method.

Broughton racked up 203-9 in a match reduced to 42 overs per side.

Andy Parsons top-scored with 77, while Max Green took 4-24.

After another rain relay, Chippy’s target was adjusted to 193 off 39 overs, and, led by Richard Ferley (76), they eased to 195-3.

Hanborough lost by 60 runs to Division 3 leaders Middleton Cheney, who were bowled out for 162, Richard Brown taking 4-51.

But Hanborough were shot out for 102.

Stanton Harcourt edged a low-scoring clash at Tetsworth by four runs.

Andy Walker took 5-21 to send Tetsworth tumbling to 73 all out as they replied in vain to Stanton’s 77 all out.

Bampton kept themselves in the Division 4 title hunt with a four-wicket win at Sunningwell.

Simon Launder returned 6-23 in Sunningwell’s 115 all out, before Bampton reached 119-6, thanks largely to Edward Landray’s 55.

Division 5 leaders Hook Norton lost to Steventon by four runs on the target score method.

Adam Bennett took 5-40 as visitors Steventon set 194 all out before heavy rain reduced Hooky’s reply to just 28 overs.

The adjusted target was 140, but Hooky finished agonisingly short on 136-8.

In Division 6, title-chasing Charlbury 2nd edged past hosts Oxenford 2nd by nine runs in a low-scoring affair.

Charlbury were thankful to Charlie Sinton (55no) as they posted only 83 all out.

Ellie Norton (4-15) and Zak Jarvis (3-9) then combined to run through the Oxenford card for just 74.

Division 7 leaders Middleton Cheney 2nd defeated hosts Eynsham 2nd by 18 runs to stay clear at the top.

Ashley Cox top-scored with 46 in Middleton’s 165 all out, before Barry White took 4-18 in Eynsham’s 147 all out, Roland Margerison hitting 72.

Adam Lambert took 5-28 for Stonesfield 2nd to help his side to a five-wicket win at Kilkenny 2nd.

Kilkenny were dismissed for 95, and then Stonesfield reached 96-5 to secure victory.
