AN OXFORDSHIRE brewery has been crowned the UK’s most popular.

Wychwood Brewery in Witney saw off stiff competition from 13 other entries to be named the UK’s favourite brewery in an online competition by HolidayLettings.co.uk – a TripAdvisor company and the UK’s holiday rentals site.

With 44 per cent of the vote, Wychwood Brewery in Eagle Maltings, Eagle Industrial Estate, The Crofts was declared the winner.

Overall, 10,190 votes were cast during the two-week competition.

“The competition received thousands of views and votes over the last two weeks.

“We received more than 10,000 votes during this competition, which shows how much these breweries are loved.

“It’s fantastic to see the community support their local breweries so vigorously.

“Congratulations to Wychwood.”

The company’s flagship brand is Hobgoblin, a 5.2 per cent brown ale, described by Wychwood as a ‘Ruby beer’.

It also produces Hobgoblin Gold and King Star.
