A PLAN to build a new medical centre at the John Radcliffe Hospital has been approved despite major parking concerns.
Oxford City Council’s East Area planning committee approved the proposal for the new Arthur Sanctuary surgery to serve some of the 5,500 patients moved from the Marston Medical Centre.
That split into two earlier this year. Some of its patients have been moved to Marston Pharmacy in Old Marston Road.
All committee members approved the plan other than Lib Dem councillor Ruth Wilkinson. She abstained.
