MUSIC lovers defied the downpour to have a magical adventure 'down the rabbit hole' at one of Oxford's newest music festivals.

Raincoated revellers armed with umbrellas thronged to Old Marston's Victoria Arms pub throughout Saturday afternoon for the third annual Rabbit Hole Festival.

The parochial party was first staged at South Hinksey's General Eliott pub in 2015 by music lover Ed Reckitt.

Each year it aims to reveal Oxford's hidden talents in a special location over one magical afternoon.

Among the throng this year at the Mill Lane pub was very magical Merlin Porter, an Oxford artist who was on his stag do with friends including Rose Hill singer songwriter Trev Williams.

Throughout the afternoon they enjoyed sets from Abingdon Community Choir, Selina and the Howlin Dogs and The Wonder Rabbits.

Other acts this year included the 'soulful and heartfelt acoustic duo' Susi and Friends, 'soulful, jazzy pop' from Ebony and the Ox Latin Combo.
