TRAFFIC chaos unfolded in the city for the second time today.
Drivers endured delays of up to 30 minutes on some of Oxford's key roads this morning, and this evening's rush hour was no better.
Oxford Bus Company had to amend one of its key routes to cope with the traffic, reporting 'severe' congestion at about 5pm.
Due to severe traffic congestion our city 5 services are now terminating in Oxford City on all journeys from Blackbird Leys

Eastern Bypass and the A40 were particularly slow at 5.30pm.
This morning, motorists across the city and beyond complained of stop-start traffic at Abingdon Road, the southern by-pass, the A34 and the A420 at Wolvercote.
Oxford Bus Company reported half an hour delays on some of its services early this morning.
Due to heavy traffic in Abingdon, Abingdon Road and Thames Street area, we are experiencing delays of up to 30 mins on some of our routes.

Commuters took to social media to vent their frustration.
Abingdon Road best avoided this morning. Haven't moved in 10 minutes. Guess I should have walked to the station. @BBCOxTravel

Today is the fifth annual Cycle to Work Day - an initiative aimed at encouraging people to ditch their cars and cycle to work.
Thames Valley Police has marked the event by issuing advice about bike safety.
