A 30-YEAR-OLD man has been sentenced to three years in prison after being caught with a 'significant' amount of drugs.

Liam Bayat, of Leiden Road in Wood Farm, Oxford, was pulled over by police on July 13 and found with 38 wraps of cocaine and heroin.

He pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Friday.

PC Garry Dixon, of the Abingdon LPA Tasking Team, said: "Bayat was found with a significant quantity of class A drugs which would have undoubtedly caused harm and disruption within our communities.

"The drugs have now been seized and Bayat has been convicted of the offence.

"We will not tolerate the possession and supply of illegal drugs within the Thames Valley and will continue to target this sort of behaviour."
