The Oxford Children’s Hospital confirmed that more than £30,000 had been raised following a charity abseil which it said was a ‘fantastic’ effort.
More than 160 people travelled down the side of the John Radcliffe Hospital at the weekend.
As the hospital in Headington celebrates a decade of treating and saving the lives of sick children, as well as supporting their families, the charity is hoping to raise £2m this year.
The donations will go towards a 62-bedroom Ronald McDonald House for parents to stay close to their poorly children.
