HARRY Dalton smashed a fiver-timer to help East Hendred hammer visitors North Oxford 10-1 in Group A of the North Berks Charity Shield, writes RICHARD UNDERWOOD.

Tom Austin scored twice, with further goals from Pat Howe, Ben Taylor and Richard Claydon.

Jack Hinkin replied with North Oxford’s scant consolation.

In Group B, Benson Lions went down 6-1 at home to Lambourn Sports.

Aaron Beattie scored, but Jonathan Peachey (3), Marc Connelly (2) and Dan Risca gave Lambourn victory.

In Group C, Westminster shared a thrilling 4-4 draw at home to Hanney United.

Andrew Hope put Hanney ahead, but goals from Dave Humphreys and Mike gave Westminster a 2-1 lead.

Andy Younie made it 3-1, before Steve Weeks reduced the arrears.

Joe Richardson levelled, before Max Watterson gave Westminster a 4-3 lead, but James Bishop fired home near the end for Hanney to secure a point.

Stanford in the Vale won their Group D fixture against Faringdon Res 5-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Josh Vaughan.

Josh Hammond and Adam Hazel were also on target, while Adam Sly replied.

Blewbury booked their place in the second round of the North Berks Cup after a 7-0 victory against visitors Uffington United.

Aaron Gray led the way with a hat-trick, while Ryan Tappin, Bryn Ingram, Boyan Thorpe and John Willis were also on the mark.

Marcham beat Drayton 3-0 thanks to goals from Josh Gilsenan (2) and Dan Thomas.

Hanney 66 lost out to Appleford 4-3, as Harry Faulkner and Ed Stanhope hit doubles.

Josh Giles (2) and Luke Ulyatt were on target for Hanney.

In league action, Ardington remain unbeaten in Division 2 after a 3-2 win against Saxton Rovers Res.

Their goals came from Ben Matthews (2) and Nick Wilkins, while Saxton replied through Kyle Allsworth and Harry Chadwick.

Cholsey United went top of Division 3 with a thumping 8-0 win over visitors Hagbourne United.

Howard Hawkins and Max Gallagher bagged doubles, with Pete McLaughlin, Elliot Middleton, Ollie Butt and Liam Woods also on target.

In Division 4, Berinsfield Reserves moved three points clear at the top after a 2-0 win over Watlington Res, thanks to goals from Jon Welch and Mennan Calvo.
