OXFORDSHIRE County Council this afternoon produced an updated list of roads affected by flooding.
The list issued just after 2pm said Abingdon Road, Oxford, is closed. The county council said residents of Abingdon Road would be able to collect sand and sand bags at the Redbridge park-and-ride car park.
Botley Road, Oxford, is closed until further notice. People are advised to find an alternative route into the city or to avoid travelling into Oxford at all.
A limited supply of sand and sandbags is available residents who live in the Botley Road area. These can be found in the car park of PC World.
The High Street is now open to all traffic. The county council said bus gate enforcement would not apply until further notice
A spokesman said people were advised not to make any unnecessary journeys until the flood water has subsided.
The council said the following road closures would remain until further notice:
- Weirs Lane / Donnington Bridge, Oxford (closed from the Iffley Road)
- A4144 Abingdon Road, Oxford
- B4020 Black Bourton, Clanfield
- Lower Road and Mill Street, Islip
- Rack End and High Street, Standlake
- Crawley Road, Witney
- Market Square, Witney
- Cassington Road, Yarnton
- Ramsden Main Road
- B4022, Hailey
- A420 Botley Road, Oxford
- North Hinksey Lane, Oxford
- A4095 Clanfield to Faringdon
- B4449 Eynsham to Linear Fisheries
- Kennington Road, Kennington
- A417 Faringdon to Buscot.
