THE sister of chef Heston Blumenthal slammed her mother’s head against a car in a rage as part of a four-year campaign of violence a court heard.
Alexis Blumenthal, of Park Street, Thame, had admitted assaulting her mother Celia on East Street, Thame, on October 7 and was set for trial on another count of assault at Aston Park, Watlington, on September 9.
At Oxford Magistrates’ Court today the 48-year old sister of Heston admitted carrying out both attacks.
On the first incident at a house in Watlington Blumenthal lashed out at her mother having drank alcohol earlier that day.
She grabbed the 76-year old by her hair and punched her a number of times before pushing her at the top of a flight of stairs forcing her to cling to the bannister.
The next incident saw Blumenthal ‘slam’ her mothers head repeatedly against a car on a street in Thame.
In a victim statement Celia said that her daughter had carried out a campaign of ‘verbal and violent abuse’ over the last four years largely due to her alcoholism.
Blumenthal will be sentenced at the same court on January 11.
