TRAVELLERS are now occupying land at two park-and-ride sites in Oxford.
Twenty caravans arrived on a site at Water Eaton park-and-ride on Thursday and about 10 caravans also arrived last week at Pear Tree park-and-ride in North Oxford.
Oxford City Council owns Pear Tree while the county council owns Water Eaton.
City council spokesman Tony Ecclestone said the local authority was investigating possible legal action.
He added: “We are aware that a number of travellers have set up camp at the Pear Tree park-and-ride following on from a large group which camped at the county council’s Water Eaton park-and-ride.
“We are working with Thames Valley Police to ensure there is no disruption to users.”
The county council said it was taking legal action.
