HUGE queues have formed outside a new restaurant in Oxford's Westgate Centre after it decided to offer free noodles to its very first customers.

To coincide with the launch of ramen restaurant Shoryu, the chain tweeted that the first 112 customers through the door would receive a free bowl of ramen from 12 noon.

Oxford Mail:

Reader Neil Fisher sent this picture of the line forming outside Shoryu, which tweeted that it was 'super excited' to be serving Oxford's 'hungry folk'.

Shoryu specialises in Hakata tonkotsu ramen from the Hakata district of Fukuoka city on the southern island of Kyushu, Japan.

It boasts it offers genuine cuisine 'rarely found outside Japan'.
