SUNDAY UPDATE - Snowfall across Oxfordshire as Met Office warning extended
Last updated Saturday, 6pm
SNOW is expected across much of the UK tomorrow, with a yellow weather warning extended to parts of north Oxfordshire.
The Met Office has issued the alert, predicting snow is likely to move eastwards across many central and northern parts of the country, extending as far down as Banbury and the surrounding area.
The warning does not yet extend further south to Oxford - however, this was the case during the last snowfall when up to 5cm fell across the county. We will bring you more as the forecast is updated.
The forecaster has warned some roads and railways are likely to be affected, with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
Ice is also expected to form on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
The snow is expected to become confined to northeast Scotland later in the day as it progressively turns to rain in other parts of the UK.
The warning is in place between 6am and 6pm.
