EAGLE-EYED drivers may have spotted an 'embarrassing' road sign blunder whilst heading along the A34.
A new sign has been erected to direct drivers to Woodstock, Headington and 'Whitney'.
Twitter users have called the glaring mistake of including an 'h' in Witney 'embarrassing' and demanded it be sorted urgently.
This dashcam picture from Isis Rescue shows the sign in all its glory.
Terrible mistake with the new signage on the A34 southbound just before Peartree Interchange. Since when has there been a ‘h’ in Witney. @OxfordshireCC you need to address this urgently. Embarrassing. pic.twitter.com/pX78TvDREg

Oxfordshire County Council has confirmed the sign comes under the responsibility of Highways England who looks after the dual carriageway.
Highways England has been contacted for comment.
