TOMORROW is the final chance for drivers to have their say on plans to charge for parking at a West Oxford car park.
The Oatlands Road Recreation Ground car park was approved by Oxford City Council last year and has since been revamped.
But motorists have been parking in the refurbished facility free of charge.
The council has now revealed a new parking place order will come into force on the site from March 1.
A council report said:L "The car park is regularly used by commuters as an alternative to using the park & ride site.
"This behaviour prevents park users from accessing the facility and does not support the council’s policy of encouraging park & ride use."
The council also said the introduction of parking charges in other parks including Hinksey Park have not had an impact of the number of visitors.
The 23-space car park off Ferry Hinksey Road will cost 60p for up to one hour, £1.50 for up to three hours, £2.50 for up to five hours and £10.40 for five to 24 hours.

The car park, and the recreation ground next to it, have flooded several times in recent years.
