Two more men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a police officer was injured in a hit-and-run.
On-duty police constable John Gavin was taken to hospital with head injuries after the crash involving a red Vauxhall Astra on Tuesday afternoon in Market Square, Aylesbury.
The 30-year-old, who is based in the town and was in plain clothes at the time, was discharged with concussion and is recovering at home.
The pair from High Wycombe, aged 23 and 25, were detained on Friday and remain in police custody, Thames Valley Police said.
Corey Allard, 20, of no fixed address, appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning charged with attempted murder, dangerous driving, driving without a licence or insurance as well as two other unrelated counts of wounding with intent.
He was remanded in custody until his next hearing at Aylesbury Crown Court on February 20.
A 27-year-old woman from High Wycombe, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released under investigation.
The force reiterated its appeal for witnesses or anyone with information, mobile phone or dash cam footage to call police on 101 quoting 747 (13/2).
