THE green guardians of Oxford's wild wonders were out in force yesterday despite the inclement weather.
Andy Gunn and his modest team of Wild Oxford volunteers braved the wind and rain to continue their coppicing at Chilswell Valley behind Hinksey Heights golf club.
Wild Oxford is a conservation project run by the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT), and helps look after nature reserves around the city.
Project officer Andy Gunn provides guidance, biscuits and hot drinks.
The ongoing work at Chilswell Valley includes building a 'dead hedge' from old tree branches.
