A 31-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in connection with the assault of a woman in the Kassam Stadium car park.
Police said the incident started in Knights Road, Blackbird Leys, on Sunday and continued into the stadium car park.
The man and woman are believed to be known to each other and began arguing at a bus stop, where she was first assaulted.
The victim - in her 20s - was assaulted again after the pair moved to the steps of the car park.
She did not need hospital treatment and the pair left the scene towards Holiday Inn.
Police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward. They describe the man as black, 5ft 11ins tall and of stocky build.
He was wearing black Nike tracksuit bottoms, a black Nike puffer jacket, a black do-rag headscarf and holding a bag.
The assault took place on Sunday between 6.30pm and 7pm.
Thre arrested man has been released under investigation.
