A DRUG dealer who tried to sell heroin and cocaine across the county out of a mobile 'drug shop' has been jailed.

Jermaine Reid, of Elmsdale Road, London, admitted three counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, as well as possession of an offensive weapon and having a blade.

Oxford Crown Court heard at his sentencing yesterday that the 25-year old was stopped by police while a passenger of the vehicle that doubled up as a mobile shop on August 28, 2016, in Wood Farm Road, Oxford.

The court heard that just minutes earlier he had sent out a text to some 50 drug users offering a special discount stating if they took six wraps of drugs they would get one free.

Prosecutor Jeremy Wright said that after Reid was arrested police carried out an extensive search of the vehicle,

They went on to find a haul of drugs worth thousands of pounds as well as scales and cash hidden in the boot, behind floor panels and inside roof boarding.

In total officers found a stash of heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine in wrapped bags and with a street value of £5,610.

They also found cash totalling £1,476 as well as two sets of digital scales, a baseball bat, and a lock knife.

In mitigation, Simon Sheriff said his client had been put under ‘pressure’ by a London criminal following a previous conviction for drug dealing and an apparent drug debt incurred as a result.

Judge Nigel Daly handed him a 60-month jail term made up of 54 months for each of the drugs offences concurrent and six months for the offensive weapons.
