Thieves smash their way into Oxford home with garden spade
THIEVES used a spade to smash their way into a home in Cutteslowe.
The raiders shattered the glass of a patio door to get into the home in Carlton Road on Tuesday.
Police said they first removed a padlock to get through the side gate and then used a spade from the garden to smash the back door.
They then ransacked the home and took a number of expensive items of jewellery and clothing.
