A VIRTUAL dementia tour bus will be rolling in to Witney to give residents an insight into what it is like to live with the condition.
The virtual dementia tour (VDT) is the only scientifically and medically proven way of demonstrating the affects of dementia.
It is visiting Witney on Monday heading to Richmond Retirement Village in Coral Springs Way as part of a campaign to Turn Witney Blue.
The campaign has been organised by Dementia Action Alliance for National Dementia Action Week all next week.
Witney Dementia Action Alliance steering group chairwoman Suzi Morgan said: "We have one chance in life to change a person’s journey through dementia, and once they are diagnosed we need to support them by giving care staff and families a true understanding of the disease.
"The VDT is unlike any training course and allows you to walk in the shoes of someone living with dementia."
Two sessions will run from 10am to 1pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
