A MAN has been charged with rape after a woman was allegedly attacked close to Tesco in Cowley Road.
Alshafeea Ezereg, 18, of Nye Bevan Close in Oxford, has been charged with one count of rape in connection with the alleged incident on Sunday, May 13.
A 19-year-old woman reported to police that she was raped near the back of the store after 12.35am.
Ezereg was charged on Saturday and appeared before Oxford Magistrates this morning.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Oxford Crown Court on Friday June 22.
