JURORS have begun deliberations in a rape trial involving a rugby coach from Wantage.
Tom Clipsham, of Barwell, Wantage, denies one count of rape.
As the 30-year old's trial continued at Oxford Crown Court yesterday jurors heard closing speeches from prosecution and defence barristers. Prosecutors allege that Clipsham raped the 18-year old while he claims the sex was consensual.
Shortly after 3pm the jury retired to consider their verdicts before being sent home later in the afternoon to reconvene at the same court on Monday.
