AN Oxfordshire pub has been named one of Britain’s 30 best for the summer.
The King’s Head Inn in Bledington, near Chipping Norton, was given the accolade by The Times, which picked the best places for a short break.
The pub currently holds the Good Pub Guide’s pub of the year title.
The paper said: “It’s in prime walking territory in the Cotswolds and comes with good rooms in in a building at the back, set by a pretty courtyard.
In the summer it’s lovely to sit by the village green with a pint of Butcombe ale, setting the world to rights.”
The pub’s main building is thought to date back to the 16th century.
