DONATIONS have continued to pour in after a young dad was given just a few weeks to live.

A fund set up to help 32-year-old Harley Curran has now passed £6,000 with more than 320 people donating at the time of publication.

After Mr Curran’s story was featured in the Oxford Mail on Tuesday, friends and family have continued to back the GoFundMe web page.

Mr Curran, who has terminal bowel cancer, was able to go home to Sutton Courtenay on Tuesday where he is spending precious time with his wife and two-year-old daughter Lyanna.

Part of the funds raised have been used to buy him an Xbox console and mini fridge.

Friend Sam Bailey, 24, who set up the fundraising campaign said: “He is just chilling out, it’s nice for him to go from being in a hospital ward to spending time with his wife and daughter.

“He is really really comfortable and has lots of friends and family regularly coming to see him.

“He is still very much himself and is worrying about other people far more than his own situation.”

Mr Bailey said the fund will be kept open to raise more money for Mr Curran’s care and to help his young family.

His cancer was only detected at a late stage and his condition deteriorated rapidly in the last week.

After doctors decided not to continue with a planned operation, Mr Curran married his girlfriend Vanessa at a ceremony on the roof of the Churchill Hospital in Oxford on Friday.
