FIREFIGHTERS rushed to put out an unattended bonfire that had spread to nearby a nearby hedgerow in the dry weather.
The fire service from Bicester and Wheatley were called to the large bonfire in Little Chesterton shortly after 11pm.
It had been left unattended and as a result the radiated heat set alight the hedgerow opposite the bonfire.
Crews said as they arrived the spreading fire was about to become 'much more significant' due to the dry weather conditions.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service warned people about burning things in this weather adding 'even the smallest fire can spread out of control and do substantial damage'.
