A CONTROVERSIAL plan to turn a Witney music venue into flats will be decided today.
West Oxfordshire District Council's Lowlands area planning committee will meet at 2pm this afternoon to pass or refuse plans to replace The Rock Barn with six flats.
The building is leased to MuzoAkademy by town and district councillor David Harvey, who submitted the application, and teaches music to more than 100 people.
Musicians including Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson have shared supporters' social media campaign to save the venue.
The planning committee's decision was deferred from August, pending a site visit for councillors.
The public meeting will take place at the council's offices in Woodgreen.
