JasonHarrison, the captain of title-chasing Oxford, is fighting to be fit for their crunch Diviison 1 derby clash away to Banbury tomorrow.

He strained a groin in wet conditions at Slough a fortnight ago, and missed their drawn match at home to Reading last week.

"I'm desperate to be play," said Harrison, who has named a provisional squad of 13 for the eagerly-awaited game.

"These are the sort of clashes I love. It's the reason I play cricket - to be challenged by the best.

"I may be fairly new at Oxford, but I've bought into the rivalry between the two clubs."

Oxford make several changes. Behind the stumps, Todd Hutcheson replaces Jonno Evans, who is away travelling for the rest of the summer.

With Adam Cook unavailable, promising batsman Tim Marcon and seamer Phil Evans are brought into the squad.

"It's a good pitch at Banbury, so I expect it to be a batting day," said Harrison, who said both sides'strong spin attacks could come into play.

The first match between the clubs was a fiercely-contested draw.

"There were some heated exhanges," admits Banbury captain Benji Hector. "It would be nice if the bat and the ball do the talking this time."

Hector names what he calls "the strongest top six in the league", with Nathan Hawkes replacing Ollie Murrey and set to come in at No 5.

That is the only change from their side that thrashed Falkland, with ex-England man Paul Taylor taking a seven-wicket haul.

"One of these teams could end up winning the league," added Hector.

There is an Oxfordshire derby in Division 2 as well, with bottom club Kidlington entertaining Thame.

Thame are forced to make five changes, with skipper Rob Brooks and three of his pupils at Lord Williams School, Thame, taking part in a cricket tour of Barbados.

In Brooks's absence, Adam Krol returns to captain a side who are still not safe despite having won five of their 11 games.

This must be a chance for Kidlington to break their duck. Noel Pearson for John Kitston is the one change from the side beaten by Finchampstead last week.
