A housing estate has its own Christmas lights display, produced by children and students under a community arts project.
The switch-on of the “WinterLight icicle lanterns” is at 6pm tonight around the playground next to Madley Brook primary school.
Paul Batten, of Theatrix Community Arts, has been holding workshops to create the display, including children at Madley Brook, Springfield and Blake schools, as well as a group for the over 55s, a special school holiday club and students at Abingdon and Witney College.
The project is part of a visual arts project co-ordinated by Oxford Inspires with funding from awards for All and backing from the Madley Park Residents’ Committee.
