HUNDREDS of amateur archaeologists have been digging around to find out more about Oxfordshire's heritage.
A series of events are running until August 2, as part of a UK Festival of British Archaeology.
Events have included learning about Combe Mill — the old ‘power-house’ of Blenheim Palace — and a hands-on archaeology day in Wallingford.
The Roman temple complex at Frilford, near Abingdon, will be open to the public on Sunday, from 10am and 4pm. Events include tours, and Roman soldiers leading marching practice for children.
The large site includes a temple and amphitheatre.
