A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged with rape following an incident in the grounds of St Mary’s Church in Horse Fair, Banbury, in the early hours of Saturday.
Philip Westberg, of Hall Avenue, Durham, appeared at Banbury Magistrates’ Court today and has been remanded to reappear there on August 10.
Westberg is accused of raping a 25-year-old woman.
