Police today issued a warning about hazardous driving conditions on the M40 in Oxfordshire.

The alert was issued early today about the road in both directions between junction six at Watlington and junction seven after a number of vehicles went off the carriageway due to the icy conditions.

Slow traffic was also reported on the eastbound A40 London Road, near Holton, where drivers are slowing to look at a car that has gone down a ditch.
