Waste and recycling collections in some areas of West Oxfordshire were suspended today due to icy road conditions.
A spokesman for West Oxfordshire District Council said this was a particular problem in the higher areas of the district.
She said: "Please could residents whose waste has not been collected, leave their bins and recycling boxes out for collection until the end of Thursday, December 24.
"West Oxfordshire District Council hope that any outstanding collections will be completed tomorrow, but this will depend on weather and road conditions.
"Collections have been suspended for the safety of the bin men, residents and their property.
"Please remember to drive slowly and take care when out walking as the roads and pavements are very icy."
Any information will be updated online www.westoxon.gov.uk
For revised collection dates over the festive Bank Holiday please visit www.westoxon.gov.uk/holidaycollections

Some cold comfort and lip service.
You are not kidding, thanks to your dereliction of duty!
WHY have you not gritted the worst icy roads and pavements? Deer Park estate in Witney, a bus route, is still appallingly icy. Yet I was in Gloucestershire yesterday evening and there out on the roads 'proper' gritter lorries!
